Georgette Bevan, CCE is the Director of Education with NACM Business Credit Services in Salt Lake City , Utah . Georgette considers herself a product of the NACM Education and Professional Designation programs, and a Business Credit Education Groupie. After achieving the Certified Credit Executive designation, she continued on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. Georgette has 20 years of active duty in credit management in the chemical (plastics) industry. Georgette has been earnestly engaged in coaching, mentoring and leading NACM Professional Designation review classes for the members of NACM Business Credit Services in Salt Lake City since receiving her CCE designation. She believes that "it takes a village" or affiliation of mentors to raise a CCE
Lisa Keller, CCE, CGA is the Director of Education and Industry Credit Groups Manager for NACM Business Credit Services in Salt Lake City, UT. She worked in credit management for over 20 years in the construction industry prior to joining NACM. Her enthusiasm and her ability to forge relationships with customers and co-workers contributed to her success in the credit field, and led to her career move.
Lisa has earned the CBA, CBF, CGA and CCE designations. While working in credit management she was a member of several Industry Trade Credit Groups and the Intermountain Credit Education League. She was elected to the NACM BCS board of directors three times, most recently serving as Chairman and counselor. She is a certified CAP Course instructor teaching the Principles of Business Credit course, and has instructed CBA and CBF exam review classes. In addition, she served as a founding member of the Utah Construction Suppliers Association which was formed to ensure that construction suppliers had a voice in state legislation, and on the Planning Commission for West Jordan City.
Val Venable, CCE was the Director of Credit for Ascend Performance Materials in Houston, Texas, a global supplier of Chemicals, Nylon and Plastics serving the automotive, consumer and industrial, chemicals, electrical, carpet and industrial fibers markets. Previously she was the America’s Credit Manager for SABIC Innovative Plastics, formerly GE Plastics. With 40 years’ experience as a credit manager, Ms. Venable has worked in domestic and international credit in the aerospace, steel and metals, marine, chemicals and plastics industries. Val is a Certified Expert Witness for defending creditors in Bankruptcy Section 547 Preference Actions, and testified before the American Bankruptcy Institute committee for bankruptcy reform. Ms. Venable served on the National Board of Directors of NACM for eight years, serving as Chairman of the Board for 2001-2002. Additionally, she has served on and chaired many of the National Committees, including Budget and Finance, Honors and Awards, Government Affairs, Education and Accreditation. Ms. Venable is currently a member of NACM Gulf States, having also served on their Board of Directors. She has led education sessions at the NACM Credit Congress, the Metals and Steel, and the Food Services Industry Day Groups and has addressed various CFDD Affiliates. Ms. Venable received the national CCE Designation of Excellence Award in 2006. A 1994 graduate of NACM Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management, Val received the Distinguished Student Award. Ms. Venable considers it a great honor to be the recipient of the 2013 Alice M.H. McGregor Award of Exceptional Achievement.
